Can't edit files on remote server?

Hello,
I have BitKinex installed on a Windows 7 Home Premium machine and can connect a 'web disk' (webdav) folder on a CPanel server. I can upload and download files, no problem.
My issue is, I can't edit a file on the remote server. I can open the file with an appropriate program (e.g. Notepad, Word, Excel, etc) but when I change the file and "save" it, the changes are not saved. I don't want to have to "download" the file, edit it and then upload it. I want to edit "on the fly".
Is this possible with BitKinex?

are you using the remote edit
are you using the remote edit function or just double clicking on the file you want to edit? you have to use the remote edit function if you want to 'edit in place'.
